The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article I Law of the Supreme Court of Justice No. 56/1993 is amended and supplemented as follows: 1. Article 7 (2) is amended and shall read as follows: "The Court is organized in 5 sections-civil, criminal, commercial, administrative and military litigation-, the Panel of 9 judges and the United Sections, each having its own competence." 2. Article 18 shall be inserted after Article 18 ^ 1 with the following contents: "" Art. 18 18 ^ 1. -Apart from the court panels of the sections it also operates a fully constituted of 9 judges, chaired by the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of Justice. In the absence of the Vice President, the panel shall be chaired by a section president or a judge designated for that purpose. " 3. The title of Chapter IV shall read as follows: + Chapter 4 "Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Panel of 9 Judges" 4. Article 23 shall be inserted after Article 23, which shall read as follows: "" Art. 23 23 ^ 1. -The panel of 9 judges judges appeals in cases tried in the first instance by the Supreme Court's wards and the appeal for annulment in cases where the Court's wards have handed down sentences remaining final by non-repurring or decisions in settlement of ordinary appeals. " 5. Article 25 is amended and shall read as follows: "" Art. 25. -The Supreme Court of Justice is constituted in the United Sections for: a) judgment of appeals for annulment in cases in which the Panel of 9 judges delivered decisions on ordinary appeal; b) judgment of appeals in the interest of the law; c) settlement, under the present law, of the complaints regarding the change of jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Justice; d) complaint of the Constitutional Court for the constitutional review of the laws, before the promulgation. " 6. Article 40 (a) shall be completed and shall read as follows: "" a) attend the court hearings of the sections and the Panel of 9 Judges. " + Article II Appeals and appeals in pending annulment at the United Sections will be sent for resolution to the 9-judge Panel. This law was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies at its meeting on February 12, 1996, in compliance with the provisions of 74 74 para. (1) of the Romanian Constitution.
