LAW No. 48 of 30 May 1995 concerning the proclamation of the heroes ' Day PARLIAMENT ISSUING published in MONITORUL OFICIAL NR. 107 of 31 May 1995, the Romanian Parliament adopts this law.
Article 1 proclaims national heroes day, celebration of the Romanian people, the fortieth day after Easter-Ascension Day of Jesus Christ, according to tradition.
Article 2 Governments, institutions of all kinds and all citizens of the country have the duty to preserve and maintain the monuments to the heroes and their burial places.
Same duties delegated to them and to the monuments and places of burial of fallen heroes of other States in fighting on the territory of Romania.
Article 3 Representatives of the Romanian State and the representatives of the Patriarchate of the Romanian Orthodox Church have a duty that in the States to grant to honor and reverence due care Romanian heroes have sacrificed on foreign soil for the fatherland and humanity.
Article 4 the provisions contained in chapter V-day's Celebration of heroes-from Council of State Decree No. 117 of 23 October 1975 is hereby repealed.
This law was adopted by the Chamber of deputies at its meeting of 15 May 1995, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
