The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article 1 It proclaims the Day of Heroes, a national holiday of the Romanian people, the fourth day of the Holy Easter-the day of the Ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ-, according to the Romanian tradition. + Article 2 Public authorities, institutions of any kind and all citizens of the country have the duty to preserve and maintain the monuments of heroes and their final places. The same duties also return to the monuments and final places of the heroes of other states fallen in the fight on the territory of Romania. + Article 3 The representatives of the Romanian state and the representatives of the Patriarchate of the Romanian Orthodox Church have the duty as in the states in which they are to grant the honor and care due to the honor of the Romanian heroes who sacrificed themselves on foreign soil for their homeland and humanity. + Article 4 The provisions of Chapter V-Celebration of Heroes ' Day-from Decree of the State Council no. 117 117 of 23 October 1975 is repealed. This law was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies at the meeting of May 15, 1995, in compliance with the provisions of 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution.
