Law No. 103 of 22 September 1992 (* updated *) concerning the exclusive right of religious cult objects for production (updated on 29 January 2001)-PARLIAMENT ISSUING — — — — — — — the Parliament of Romania adopts this law.
Article 1 Romanian Orthodox Church and other religious groups have, exclusively, the right for the production and use of the objects and garments of worship and printing of religious books, theological or ecclesiastical-containing required disqualification from the cult.
Objects of worship, for the purposes of this Act, means the liturgical vessels, icons or litografiate, crosses, crucifixele, Church furnishings, crosses and medallions with images of specific religious cult objects of religious colportaj and the like. Shall be treated as objects of worship and religious calendars, as well as products necessary for the exercise of worship, such as incense and candles, except for decorative and for weddings and christenings.
Through worship, vestments for the purposes of the present law is understood and broderiile fabrics and specific, necessary for the colour in question.
It is also treated as objects of religious worship, pre-printed material the textbooks and courses for theological activity from educational institutions of religious cult in question.
Article 2 the production or goods referred to in article capitalization. 1. by other persons, whether natural or legal, rather than religious denominations can be done only with prior authorisation, given in the conditions established by each worship in consideration of its own exclusive.
Article 3 Illustrations, leaflets, albums and films featuring places of worship or religious art objects, with the exception of those belonging to the national cultural heritage, can be carried out only with the consent of the respective cult.
Article 4 the violation of art. 1 constitutes contravention if the deed under the law shall not be deemed an infringement and shall be imposed with a fine of from 500 to 1,000 * lei lei).

Goods destined for or used in committing the violation, as well as those resulting from information that they confiscate.

Irregularity is found and the fine shall be applied by the police, town halls or control bodies of the Ministry of economy and finance.
The contravention referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2. 1 shall be applicable the provisions of law No. 32/68 on the establishment and sanctioning violations.

Article 5 *) production and valorization of objects and products necessary for religious activity. 1 shall be exempt from taxation.
Art. 5 returned to form in issue as a result of the amendment to art. ORDINANCE No. 41 from 70 of 29 august 1994, published in MONITORUL OFICIAL nr. 246 of 31 august 1994, the point of article 59. 1 of law No. 73 of 12 July 1996, published in MONITORUL OFICIAL nr. 174 of 2 august 1996.
This law was adopted by the Chamber of deputies at its meeting of 7 July 1992, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
