---------- The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article 1 The Romanian Orthodox Church and the other religious cults have, exclusively, the right to produce and capitalize on religious objects and garments, as well as to print cult books, theological ones or with church content, necessary Cult practice. Through objects of worship, for the purposes of this law, the liturgical vessels, metal or lithographed icons, crosses, crucifixes, church furniture, crosses and medallions with religious images specific to the cult, collage objects, are understood. religious and the like. It assimilates to religious objects and religious calendars, as well as the products necessary to exercise the activity of worship, such as incense and candles, except for the decorative ones and those for weddings and baptisms. Through vestments of worship, in the sense of this law are also understood the specific fabrics and embroideries, necessary to achieve those garments. It also assimilates to cult objects the cult prints, textbooks and theological courses necessary to carry out the activity in the religious educational institutions of that cult. + Article 2 Production or use of the goods referred to in 1 by other persons, natural or legal, than religious cults can be made only with their prior authorization, given under the conditions established by each cult in consideration of its own exclusivity. + Article 3 The illustrations, leaflets, art albums and films featuring places of worship or objects of church art, except those belonging to the national cultural heritage, can only be achieved with the agreement of that cult. + Article 4 Violation of art. 1 constitutes contravention if the act, according to the law, is not considered a crime and is sanctioned with a fine of 500 lei per 1,000 lei *). ---------- Paragraph 1 of art. 4 4 has been amended by art. unique from LAW no. 2 2 of 29 January 2001 , published in MONITORUL OFFICIAL no. 48 48 of 29 January 2001, amending section 1 1 of art. unique of EMERGENCY ORDINANCE no. 92 92 of 29 June 2000 , published in MONITORUL OFFICIAL no. 308 308 of 4 July 2000. The goods intended or used to commit the contravention, as well as those resulting from its commission, shall be confiscated. ---------- Paragraph 1 ^ 1 of art. 4 4 has been introduced by section 2 2 of art. unique of EMERGENCY ORDINANCE no. 92 92 of 29 June 2000 , published in MONITORUL OFFICIAL no. 308 308 of 4 July 2000. The contravention is found and the fine is applied by the police, mayors or control bodies of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Contravention provided in par. 1 1 the provisions applicable Law no. 32/1968 establishing and sanctioning contraventions. ---------- Paragraph 3 of art. 4 4 has been introduced by section 3 3 of art. unique of EMERGENCY ORDINANCE no. 92 92 of 29 June 2000 , published in MONITORUL OFFICIAL no. 308 308 of 4 July 2000. + Article 5 *) Production and valorization of objects and products necessary for the cult activity provided in art. 1 1 are exempt from taxation. ---------- Article 5 returned to the form of publication as a result of the amendment art. 41 of ORDINANCE no. 70 70 of 29 August 1994 , published in MONITORUL OFFICIAL no. 246 246 of 31 August 1994, by point 59 59 of art. 1 of LAW no. 73 73 of 12 July 1996 , published in MONITORUL OFFICIAL no. 174 174 of 2 August 1996. This law was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies at its meeting on July 7, 1992, in compliance with the provisions of 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution.
