Law No. 5 of 29 June 1988 concerning the increase of pensions of State social insurance for hard work and the limit of age, pensions for the loss of capacity for work and pensions for invalids of war NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ISSUING Published in OFFICIAL GAZETTE No. 36 of 4 July 1988 obtained great achievements in economic and social development of the country, the deep-seated transformations that have taken place in the modernization of the productive forces and the technical-material base, the national economy dynamism and vigour to ensure the necessary conditions for lifting of material and spiritual welfare of the people of the motherland, the Supreme goal of our party and State policy.
In accordance with the decisions of the 13th Congress and the National Conference of the Communist Party, corresponding to the Roman economic and social development of the country, to be major pensions of State social insurance of up to 3,000 lei monthly, on average 8 per cent, carrying higher-growth is in small pensions, and pensions for the loss of capacity for work and pensions of invalids of the war.
The increase in pensions will benefit from over 97 per cent of the total social security pensioners from the State, and war invalids.
New measures to increase pensions reflect consistent policy of the party and our State to ensure better conditions of life of all those who have submitted a long task in the work, the harmonious combination of incomes obtained directly from working with those of social security funds.
For the purpose of regulating the measures to increase pensions in the current five-year National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Romania adopts this law.
Article 1 (1) Pensions of State social insurance for hard work and limit the age of up to 3,000 lei per month shall be increased on average by 8 percent, acordindu-small pensions are large increases.
(2) the minimum Pension for the hard work and the age limit for retirement, with full seniority shall be increased from 900 MDL to 1,100, respectively, with monthly Lions 22 per cent, while the average pension increases from 1,873 lei to 2,000 lei a month.
(3) the minimum Pension for the hard work and the age limit for retirement, with seniority who submitted incomplete activity for at least 10 years in State-owned units, shall be increased from 800 to 550 lei lei monthly, 45.5 percent respectively, while the average pension increases from 1,079 at 1,160 lei a month.
Article 2 the minimum Pension of State social insurance for loss of work capacity, degree of disability, shall be increased from 800 to 600 lei lei monthly, respectively, 33 per cent.
Article 3 (1) Pensions for invalids of war in the amount of up to 3,000 lei per month shall be increased in average with 16.9 percent, with growth higher, until 36.8 percent, pensions.
(2) the minimum Pension for invalids of war shall be increased from 800 to 550 lei lei monthly, 45.5 percent respectively.
Article 4 in order to increase pensions, according to the provisions of this law, the State will allocate, in 1988, 300 million lei, while in a year, approximately 2 billion lei.
Article 5 the pensions provided for in article 10. 1-3 shall be increased in the following stages: a) on 1 august 1988, pensions for invalids of war;
b) on October 1, 1988, the pensions of State social insurance for hard work and limit the age of up to 1,500 lei per month and the minimum pension for the loss of work capacity, degree of disability;
c) on 1 March 1989, the pensions of State social insurance for age limit and deposited between 1,501-3,000 monthly.
Article 6 Retirement pensions to which they shall be increased according to the present law will benefit from further consideration of the rights of the State allowance for children, established according to law till the date of an increase in pensions. Also housing rents, pensions determined according to the nemajorate, remain unchanged.
Article 7 the percentages of increase in pensions, differentiated stages and levels of retirement benefits and the conditions for the application of the provisions of this law shall be determined by Decree of the State Council. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
