DRAFT RESOLUTION NO. 87 /XI

Fixed the composition, distribution and cast of the Parliamentary Groups of

Friendship in the XI Legislature and proceeds to the first amendment to the Resolution of the

Assembly of the Republic No 6/2003 of January 24

Having regard to that provided for in articles 43 to 47 of the Rules of the Assembly of the

Republic and in the Assembly Resolution of the Republic paragraph 6/2003 of January 24, which

they have on the Friendship Groups of Friendship, hereinafter referred to as GPA, the

Assembly of the Republic resolves, in the terms of the n. the

5 of Article 166 of the Constitution, the

next:

Article 1.

Cast of Parliamentary Groups of Friendship in the XI Legislature

The following GPA are created:

1. Portugal-Germany

2. Portugal-Andorra

3. Portugal-Angola

4. Portugal-Algeria

5. Portugal-Argentina

6. Portugal-Australia

7. Portugal-Brazil

8. Portugal-Cape Verde

9. Portugal-Canada

10. Portugal-People's Republic of China

11. Portugal-Republic of Korea

12. Portugal-Cuba

13. Portugal-Spain

14. Portugal-United States of America

Article 2.

Composition of GPA

1-Each GPA will, in principle, have 10 members, with its distribution being made by the

various parliamentary groups as follows: PS-4 members, PSD-3

members, being the remaining 3 members one for the CDS, one for the BE and a

for the PCP.

2-In the case of the parliamentary groups of the CDS, the BE and the PCP do not indicate

member / s for a GPA, there is place in filling the vacancies by deputies

indicated by the PS and PSD.

3-The PEV will be able to integrate, at most, 6 GPA, plus the respective Member

composition referred to in paragraph 1.

Table of GPA

1-Listen to the Leaders ' Conference and as a result of agreement made between all

the parliamentary groups, the presidencies of the GPA are rematches of the following

shape:

2-The Vice-presidencies of the GPA are rematches by the parliamentary groups, in the framework

of each GPA, orienting itself to its choice under a principle of alternation of the

parliamentary groups in relation to the GPA presidency, as well as the two Vice-

presidencies of the same GPA.

Article 4.

Amendment to the Resolution of the Assembly of the Republic No 6/2003 of January 24

Articles 7, 9 and 10 of the Resolution of the AR No 6/2003 of January 24, pass to

following wording:

" Article 7.

[...]

1-The cast of the parliamentary friendship groups is fixed according to

the one provided for in Rule 45 of the Rules.

2-.......................................................................................

3-The dispatches of the President of the Assembly of the Republic on the cast

of the GPA are published in the Journal of the Assembly of the Republic, 2 th

series-A.

Article 9.

[...]

1-Each GPA draws up an annual activity programme, which submits to the

approval of the President of the Assembly of the Republic.

2-The President of the Assembly of the Republic may request to appear on the

programme of activities to the relevant parliamentary committee in

foreign policy matter.

Article 10.

[...]

1-Each GPA draws up an annual report of its activities, which it submits

to the approval of the President of the Assembly of the Republic.

2-The President of the Assembly of the Republic may request to appear on the

report of activities to the relevant parliamentary committee in matter

of foreign policy. "

Article 5.

Abrogation standard

Article 5 (2) of the Resolution of the Assembly of the Republic No 6/2003 is hereby repealed,

of January 24.

Article 6.

Interpretation and integration of gaps

It is incumbent upon the President of the Assembly of the Republic, with an appeal to the Plenary, to

interpretation and integration of gaps in respect of these subjects, by dispatch,

published in the Journal of the Assembly of the Republic, 2. serie-A.
