DRAFT RESOLUTION NO. 51 /XI/1.

RECOMMENDS TO THE GOVERNMENT THE EXTENSION TO THE CONCELHOS DA

ALGARVE REGION, HIT BY THE WEATHER, DAS

SUPPORT MEASURES FOR AGGRIEVED FARMERS

Exhibition of reasons

The Council of Ministers of December 30 approved measures to the aid

of the farmers in the face of the damage caused by the weather storms of the past month, and

enshrined in Decree-Law 1-A of January 4, 2010.

Recognizing the pertinence of these measures, the Left Bloc understands that this

support program is to be extended to the Algarve region, where it is estimated to

damage reaches the 2 billion, mainly in the concelhos of Faro and

Look.

In fact, the last few seasons mainly affected horticultural crops and the

citrus fruit, having completely destroyed metallic greenhouses recently

built, of recognized construction quality, greenwood greenhouses and

tie-up and storage facilities on farms.

Thus, in the applicable constitutional and regimental terms, the Assembly of

Republic, meeting in plenary, recommends to the Government that :

detect those that may eventually be inserted into the frame of

calamity, in such a way as to enjoy the measure 1.5.2 of PRODER;

2. For credit purposes, holdings are integrated within the criteria

of the operations equated to the operation of concentration, which hold a

bonification of 100%.
