Attending to the desire to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two states;
Taking into account the desire to strengthen cooperation with each other in the fight against crime;
Aware of the interest that is for both States to promote cooperation in the
penal field, particularly with regard to extradition.
Thus:
Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the
Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:
Enact the Convention of Extradition between the Portuguese Republic and the Republic
Democratic and Popular of Algeria, signed in Algiers, on January 22, 2007, the text of which
authenticated versions, in the Portuguese and Arabic languages, publishes in attachment.
