Proposal for Resolution No. 127 /X

Taking into account that the European Centre for Medium Time Prediction is aimed at

develop the ability to draw up forecasts of the time to medium term and provide them with the

Member States, thus giving a valuable impetus to the development of meteorology

in Europe;

Considering the importance for the European economy of an improvement

considerable from the forecast of the time to medium term;

Considering that the scientific and technical investigations to be carried out for this purpose will give a

valuable impetus to the development of meteorology in Europe.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following proposal for a Resolution:

Approve the amendments to the Convention on the establishment of the European Forecast Centre

Time to Medium Term and the amendment to the Protocol on Privileges and Immunities of the Center

European Forecast Time to Medium Term, adopted in Reading, at the Meeting

Extraordinary of the Council of the European Centre on April 22, 2005, whose texts, in the

authenticated versions in English language and the respective translation in Portuguese language, if

publish in attachment.
