MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 137 /X/4.

Attending to which, presently, the principles emanating from the Convention on the

Abolition of Criminal Sanctions by Breaking of the Work Contract by Part of the

Indigenous Workers have no field of application possible in the Portuguese Republic;

Considering the modernizing transformation strategy of labour law that is

currently to be continued;

Desiring to potentiate the objectives and tools of Portuguese cooperation by means of

an appropriate participation in the multilateral system;

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following proposal for a Resolution:

Approve the withdrawal by the Portuguese Republic of the Convention on the Abolition of the

Criminal Sanctions by Breaking of the Work Contract by Workers ' Party

Indigenous people, adopted at the 38 th Session of the General Conference of the International Organization of the

Work, in Geneva, to June 21, 1955, approved, for ratification, by the Decree-Law

n. 42691, of November 30, 1959.
