Proposal for Resolution No. 119 /X

Considering the Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence

from Spain, France, Italy and Portugal on EUROMARFOR, adopted in 15

from May 1995, in Lisbon,

Considering the Treaty on the status of EUROFOR, signed in Rome, in 5 of

July 2000;

Considering that the present Additional Protocol grants the staff assigned by the

Parts to the permanent cell of EUROMARFOR the same status as that assigned to the

personnel of EUROFOR and who are listed in the Treaty on the Legal Status of EUROFOR,

Considering that with the definition of the status of the personnel assigned by the parties to the cell

permanent EUROMARFOR will allow this force to realize its objectives and

fulfill your missions;

Aware of the contribution of EUROMARFOR to the development of identity

European security and defence and for the strengthening of European Security Politics and

Defense,

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following proposal for a Resolution:

CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

Approve the Additional Protocol to the Treaty on the Statute of EUROFOR, signed in

Lisbon, on July 12, 2005, as well as the associated statements, the text of which, in the

true-authenticated versions in the Portuguese, French, Italian and Spanish languages, publishes in

attachment.
