Considering that this Convention will allow the double taxation of the different

categories of income earned by residents in any of the Contracting States;

Attending to which the Convention will contribute to the creation of a tax framework more

stable and transparent for investors of both states and in that measure influence

in a positive way the development of capital flows and the activity of the companies of the

two countries.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

To approve the Convention between the Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau for

Avoiding Double Taxation in Income Taxes on the Yield and Preventing a

Tax Evasion, signed in Lisbon, on October 17, 2008, whose text in the version

authenticated in Portuguese language if it publishes in attachment.
