Proposal for Resolution No. 125 /X

Taking into account the existing cooperation through direct contacts between the Ramos das

Armed forces of Portugal and Angola, as well as the various activities and exchanges

already developed;

Considering that such cooperation can be extended and deepened in various fields of the

security and defense, including the defense technologies and industries.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

Approves the Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Defence between the Portuguese Republic and the

Republic of Angola, signed in Luanda, October 3, 1996, the text of which, in the version

authenticated in Portuguese language, it publishes in attachment.
