CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

Proposal for Resolution No. 106 /X

Bearing in mind that the Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Tunisia enjoy excellent

bilateral relations;

Considering that both States recognize the importance of strengthening the relations of

existing friendship and cooperation;

Aware of the need for the coordination of social security measures in order to

guarantee equal treatment in access and in the granting of benefits that are due

directly from the application of the legislation of each of the Parties or the application of the present

Convention.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

To approve the Convention on Social Security between the Portuguese Republic and the Republic

of Tunisia, signed in Tunis on November 9, 2006, the text of which in the versions

authenticated in the Portuguese, Arabic and French languages, it publishes in annex.
