PRESIDENCY of the COUNCIL of MINISTERS 1 RESOLUTION No. 98/X Whereas the aim of promoting the creation of a European common aviation area based on free market access, freedom of establishment, equal conditions of competition and common rules; Recognizing the need for a progressive enlargement of the acquis of the European Community in the field of aviation to partner countries; Whereas harmonized rules in Europe allow the creation of a common market, free and safe air transport, allowing play a key role in boosting the political and economic integration of Europe; So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: Approving the Multilateral Agreement between the European Community and its Member States, the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Iceland, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia the Republic of Montenegro, the Kingdom of Norway, Romania, the Republic of Serbia and the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo on the establishment of a European common aviation area signed in Luxembourg on 9 June 2006, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language, if published in the annex.
