Desiring to strengthen the existing friendship relations between the Portuguese Republic and the

Democratic and People's Republic of Algeria;

Recognizing the need to commit mutually to granting the greatest aid

judiciary, in the fight against crime of all kinds.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

Approving the Convention of Mutual Judicial Aid in Criminal Matters between the Republic

Portuguese and the People's Democratic and People's Republic of Algeria, signed in Algiers, 22 from

January 2007, the text of which, in the authenticated versions in the Portuguese and Arabic languages, if

publishes in annex.
