MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 73 /X

Considering the aim of creating better conditions for economic relations between

European Union and Montenegro and for the development of trade and trade

investments, key factors for economic restructuring and modernization;

Taking into account the need to strengthen economic linkages and establish a

close and enduring relationship based on reciprocity and common interest, so as to

enable to consolidate and extend relations with the Community and its Member States;

Recognizing the importance of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, within the framework of the

Stabilization and Association Process, concerning the countries of the southeast of Europe,

to establish and consolidate a stable Europe, based on cooperation and the Pact of

Stability.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

To approve the Stabilization and Association Agreement between the European Communities and the

its Member States, on the one hand, and the Republic of Montenegro, on the other hand, signed in the

Luxembourg, to October 15, 2007, including Annexes I to VII, the Protocols 1 a

8 and the Final Act with the statements, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language,

is published in attachment.
