1 MOTION for a RESOLUTION paragraph 65/X Whereas the objective of promoting an international air transportation system based on fair competition between air carriers in a market with minimal government intervention and regulation the; Recognizing the need for a gradual opening of the markets with a view to the liberalisation of air services between the parties; Whereas this agreement can serve as a reference in the euro-Mediterranean aviation relations in order to fully exploit the benefits of liberalization in this essential economic sector. So: under d) of paragraph 1 of article 197 of the Constitution, the Government presents to the Assembly of the Republic the following resolution: to approve the Euro-Mediterranean agreement for air services between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the Kingdom of Morocco, of the other part, including annexes I to VI, signed in Brussels December 12, 2006, the text of which, in the authenticated version in Portuguese language, if published in the annex.
