MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 74 /X

Listening to the adoption of the Resolution on the Establishment of the Parliamentary Assembly

of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) in the XII Ordinary Meeting of the

Council of Ministers of the CPLP, held in Lisbon, on November 2, 2007;

Considering that the present instrument will allow for the strengthening of political concertation between

the member states of the CPLP and consequently will enhance the representativeness of the

CPLP.

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

Approve the Amendment to the Statutes of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries

(CPLP), resulting from the adoption of the Resolution on the Establishment of the Assembly

MP of the CPLP at the XII Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the CPLP,

held in Lisbon, on November 2, 2007, the text of which, in the authenticated version in language

portuguese, it publishes in annex.
