Third amendment to Law No. 91/95 of September 2,

On urban areas of illegal genesis

Preamble

The Law No. 91/95 of September 2, in the wording given by Law No. 165/99, 14 of

September and by Law No. 64/2003 of August 23 on the urban areas of genesis

illegal, it provides for its term of operation until December 31, 2007.

Regardless of the diversity of material intervention models undertaken

to improve the quality of life of populations and for the urbanistic recovery of

life of the populations and for the necessary urbanistic recoveries of these areas, it was already

this legal regime that created and developed a dynamic capable of bringing about a good term

the process of recovery of urban areas of illegal genesis.

In the face of the territorial extent of these areas and the great difficulties of organizing the

comproprietors at the time of the effective start of the legal regime in force, shall

recognize, in the face of current reality, that the effort and results already obtained are

manifestly positive, which justifies and advises the extension of its duration,

as a way of ensuring that efforts so far developed do not get lost.

In these terms, the CPP Parliamentary Group understands it timely to promote this

amendment ensuring in this way that, in the framework of the urbanistic conversion of the areas

urban genesis of illegal genesis, can be constituted administrative commissions up to 30 of

June 2008 and conversion title until the end of 2010 and that the chambers

municipal can delimit the AUGI by June 30, 2009.

Thus, under the applicable legal and regimental provisions, the Deputies below

signed from the Parliamentary Group of the CFP, present the following Draft Law:

Amendment of Law No. 91/95 of September 2, in the wording given by Law No. 165/99, 14

of September and by Law No. 64/2003, of August 23

Article 57º (1) and (2) of Law No. 91/95 of September 2, in the wording given by the Law

paragraph 165/99, of September 14 and by Law No. 64/2003 of August 23, passes

following wording:

" Article 57º

Deadlines

1-For the purposes of applying this Act, the AUGI shall have the commission of

administration validly constituted until June 30, 2008 and of title of

conversion until December 31, 2010.

2-A municipal chamber can delimit the AUGI by fixing as their respective modality

of reconversion of the municipal initiative without the support of the joint administration, up to 30 of

June 2009.
