MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 39 /X

Taking into consideration the establishment of the Athena Mechanism, for the administration of the

financing of the common costs of the European Union's operations with implications

military or in the field of defence;

Attending to the need to facilitate the operation of the Athena mechanism,

particularly with regard to certain privileges and immunities;

Thus:

Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the

Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:

Approve the Decision of the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States meeting in

Council on the privileges and immunities granted to the Athena, signed in Brussels

to April 28, 2004, the text of which, in the authentic version in Portuguese, publishes itself in annex.
