TRIP OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC TO INDIA

His Excellency the President of the Republic required, pursuant to paragraph 1 of the article

129 and (b) of Article 163 of the Constitution, the Assembly's assentiment of the

Republic to be absent from the national territory, on official travel to India,

between days 9 and 17 of the next January 2007, at the invitation of President Abdul

Kalam.

Thus, I present to the Assembly of the Republic, in the regimental terms, the following

draft resolution:

" The Assembly of the Republic resolves, in accordance with point (b) of the article

163 and of Article 166 (5) of the Constitution, give the opinion of the

travel of an official character of His Excellency the President of the Republic

to India, between days 9 and 17 from the next month of January 2007. "
