MOTION FOR RESOLUTION No. 30 /X
The member states of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, decorated five
years since its constitution, they considered it necessary to carry out the review of the
respective Statute to reshape outdated mechanisms and to a better
definition of competences of some bodies of the CPLP, in order to apetch the Organization
to meet its statutory general objectives.
Thus:
Under the terms of the paragraph d) of Article 197 (1) of the Constitution, the Government presents to the
Assembly of the Republic the following motion for a resolution:
Approve, for ratification, the Revision of the Statutes of the Community of Countries of Language
Portuguese (CPLP), adopted by the Council of Ministers of the CPLP, in its VI Meeting
Ordinary held in São Tomé and Principe, on July 31, 2001, the text of which, in the version
authenticated in Portuguese language, it publishes in attachment.
