On 13 December 2007 was drawn up in Lisbon, the Treaty of Lisbon, amending the Treaty on European Union and the Treaty establishing the European Community.

DESIRING to conclude by the Treaty of Amsterdam and the Treaty of Nice the process of increasing the efficiency and legitimacy of the Union's democratic legitimacy and improving the coherence of its activities,

HAVE DECIDED TO AMEND THE TREATY ON EUROPEAN UNION, THE TREATY ESTABLISHING THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY AND THE TREATY ESTABLISHING THE EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY,

and to that end, they have appointed as their representatives;

After having become acquainted with the above Treaty, on behalf of the Republic of Poland I declare that:

-it has been considered to be valid both in its entirety and in any of the provisions contained therein,

-is accepted, ratified and confirmed,

-will be kept unchanged.

For proof of which the present act was issued, stamped with the stamp of the Republic of Poland.

It was given in Warsaw on 10 October 2009.

[ 1] On the basis of the judgment of the Constitutional Court of 24 November 2010. (Journal of Laws No. 229, item. 1506) art. 1 point 56, which lays down the wording of Article 48 of the Treaty on European Union, in conjunction with Article 2 of the Treaty of Lisbon, which lays down the wording of Article 2 (2), Article 3 (2) and Article 7 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, shall be in accordance with the Treaty. 8 ust. 1 and Art. 90 par. 1 Constitution of Poland.

On the basis of the judgment of the Constitutional Court of 24 November 2010. (Journal of Laws No. 229, item. 1506) art. Article 2 (2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union is compatible with Article 2 (2) of the Treaty 8 ust. 1 and Art. 90 par. 1 Constitution of Poland.
