In the 1. Scope This regulation applies to the graduate program of study as the institution adopts to create.

2. Definitions 2.1. Program of study A study program is a multi-year course of study leading to a degree: bachelor's degree or master's degree.
Study should describe the main lines, profile and scope for the study.
Each study program should have one or more study programs. 
2.2. Study plan a study plan is a plan for how the study will be implemented can/for it to lead to a specific skill level, and provides a detailed description of studiets structure and content as well as the requirements for recording and execution. 
2.3. Study calendar is a calendar overview Study that shows the study this year's offerings of teaching and other professional activities, such as courses, projects and seminars.
In the Study the calendar included specific activities common to the whole institution. This part of the Study calendar is known as the common calendar. 
2.4. Credits credits are the measuring stick for workload in the study. 60 credits is equivalent to a one-year course of study full time. 
2.5. Student Assessment Student assessment is a formal internal review of the professional level and the academic progress the student has achieved at specific stages in the study. 
2.6. examination exam is the formal assessment of the professional level the student has achieved at the conclusion of a study program. In the exam the assessment to external examiners participate.

4. Study plan the study plan should contain:-goal for the study;

-discipline-specific parts.

Private calendar is determined by the principal. The other study calendar prepared by the Dean and approved by the principal.

6. Study contract/educational plan of admission to art college in Bergen to the inngåes study contract between the student and the institution.
Study contract shall form a binding relationship between the institution and the individual student and prepare the institution's obligations to the student, as well as the student's rights and obligations in relation to the institution.
To study the contract it should be associated with an individual educational plan. In the first place to this educational plan is attached to a program of study. After the first study year it can through the education plan by agreement be established a more individually study ran for the individual student.
The education plan will be revised annually.
In the master studies are replaced the individual educational plan with the further developed the project description.
The requirements of the arts/design professional expertise at the end of a program of study cannot be waived through the design of the individual education plan/further developed the project description.
At the start of each academic year the institution designates a main road Manager for the student. This is appointed after consultation with the student, and out from an overall assessment of the academic needs and the institution's available human resources. When a student be taken up the first time, to the student's main road head is appointed by the end of september.
The Board determines the study contract and template for individual educational plan.

7. Assessment procedures 7.1. Bachelor's programs, the student will be considered in relation to academic progress and level at the end of each semester.
The student will be considered in relation to the overall academic progress in the work period and in accordance with the evaluation criteria set forth in the study plan.

The review should determine whether the student overall have had sufficient academic progress in relation to the study plan/educational plan to have passed the current work period of one semester, the equivalent of 30 credits.

7.2. Master programs the student will be considered at the time and in relation to the evaluation criteria established in the study plan.

7.3. Prerequisites for consideration the premise for that such reviews can foretaes, is that the student has completed/passed the parts of the study plan or the individual educational plan, if any, is provided for as mandatory/agreed.
If such required parts are not completed, the Dean after tilrådning from the main road the leader anyway decide that the student will be considered. If the academic progress in such a case out of an overall assessment be considered as sufficient, it is a prerequisite to have passed the assessment that the mandatory parts can be carried out in the course of the next 12 months.

8. examination All study program ends with an exam. The premise to be oppmeldt to the exam, is that the student has passed the prior reviews as required according to. This regulation, cf. section 7.1 or study schedule, jf. section 7.2.
The student will be considered in relation to the study plan/the individual educational plan's objectives and the evaluation criteria that are set out in the study plan.
Exam review foretaes of main road Manager and two external examiners appointed by the Dean. The grade is determined as "Passed" or "failed".

9. do not pass study semester/master item */eksamen a student who is strictly prohibited. section 7 does not get approved semester/master item, * must take the semester/master item. The student can get the same semester/main element considered two additional times.
A student who according to. section 8 gets a rating of "not passed" by exam review, can commence this exam two more times.
If the student does not get approved score after the third-time assessment according to. section 7 or section 8, losing the student study the right to the current study.

10. Complaint a student can complain if:-the student does not get approved the individual education plan/the further developed the project description, cf. section 6;

-the student is not admitted to the assessment of the completed semester/study section pga. lack of implementation of the mandatory parts of the study, cf. section 7;

assessment at the end of a semester/master item concludes that the student has not shown sufficient academic progress to have passed the work period, cf. section 7;

-the student does not pass the exam at the end of a program of study, cf. section 8.

At the complaint after the first, second and third line point is considered the complaint of the Dean, the main way the leader and another academic added appointed by the principal.
At the complaint after the fourth stroke point considered the complaint of a new Commission with an internal and two external members appointed by the Dean.
The academic reviews cannot be appealed further, but any processing errors can be appealed further to the institution's Board of Directors.

11. Diploma Students who have completed a program of study and passed the final exam is dealt as documentation obtained diplomas on the degree. In addition to the diploma, students will get an explanatory addition in English, Diploma supplement.

12. Waivers students who have graduated at other institutions, or in any other way can document completed education, can apply for exemptions for parts of the study they are taken up to. The exemption normally in the form of a closer commitment to not participate in specific study sections.

13. Specific recognition application for specific recognition means that an applicant's previous remote education will be considered in relation to having carried out similar level in a course of study at the art college in Bergen. An application for specific recognition requires thorough documentation of content and level of the previous education. Specific recognition foretaes to a specific extra grade in the study.

14. Closure


If a program of study, it will normally be held examinations for this study program in the two subsequent semesters after the last regular examination, even if there is some educational offers.
College Director may in particular cases decide to limit this possibility.

15. Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree at Bergen National Academy of the Arts awarded for the three-year program of study as the institution adopts to create, and for studies on the same level as is carried out according to. approved individual education plan.
The Board may adopt that specific combinations of shorter study program to give the right to this degree.
In the bachelor's degree will it enter into an independent work that shall constitute the main basis for the exam the assessment is strictly prohibited. section 8. The scope of the independent work is determined in the Examination regulations.

16. Master's degree Master's degree at the art college in Bergen are allocated for the two-year study programs that build on the bachelor's degree and is created in accordance with the provisions for this in the law on universities and colleges section 45 No. 1 and section 46 No. 2. For this study applies the regulations of 2. July 2002 No. 738 about master's degree requirements, established by the Ministry of education and research.
In the master's degree should it enter into an independent work on the 60 credits. This shall constitute the main basis for the exam the assessment is strictly prohibited. section 8.
In this exam the assessment should the emphasis is on the student demonstrates sufficient competence to be able to meet the challenges and the standards that professional conduct will require.
