Section 1.Lovens's purpose is to strengthen the human rights position in Norwegian right.
Section The following conventions shall apply as Norwegian law in the extent that they are binding on Norway :
1. The Eurocrime Convention 4. November 1950 on the protection of human rights and the fundamental freedoms that changed at 11th protocol 11. May 1994 and 14th protocol 13. May 2004, with the following additional protocols :
a) Protocol 20. March 1952
b) Fourth protocol 16. September 1963 on the protection of certain rights and freedoms that did not already be retaken by the Convention and of the first additional protocol to the Convention
c) Sixth protocol 28. April 1983 about repession of the death penalty
d) Seventh protocol 22. November 1984
e) Trothing protocol 3. May 2002 on the tax effect of the death penalty under any circumstances
2. The United Nations International Convention 16. December 1966 on economic, social and cultural rights,
3. The United Nations International Convention 16. December 1966 about civil and political rights with the following additional protocols :
a) Optional protocol 16. December 1966,
b) Other optional protocol 15. December 1989 on the desecration of the death penalty.
4. The United Nations International Convention 20. November 1989 about the child's rights with the following additional protocols :
a) Optional protocol 25. May 2000 about the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography,
b) Optional protocol 25. May 2000 about children in armed conflict
5. The United Nations International Convention 18. December 1979 on the diffusion of all forms of discrimination by women with additional protocol 6. October 1999.

Section 3.The provisions of conventions and protocols mentioned in Section 2 shall at counter-dispute move ahead of regulations in other legislation.
Section 4.De conventions and protocols mentioned in Section 2, announced in Norwegian Lovtimeend in one original language and in Norwegian translation.
The Section 5.Law also applies to Svalbard and Jan Mayen.
Section 6.The law takes effect immediately.
