Decision of the Minister of Justice of 29 March 2010, No 5646744 /10/CBJ, designating the Central Authority for International Child Abduction (designation of the Central Authority for the International Child Abduction Authority)

The Minister of Justice,

Having regard to Article 4, first paragraph, of the Law of 2 May 1990 implementing the European Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments of 20 May 1980 on the Custody of Children and on the Enforcement of Judgments in the European Parliament (i) restoration of authority over children, implementation of the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, adopted on 25 October 1980, as well as general provisions relating to applications providing for the return of abducted children on the Dutch border and their implementation (Stb. (2) Article 2 of the European Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Decisions concerning the Authority of Children and on the Restation of Custody of Children (Trb), adopted in Luxembourg on 20 May 1980. Articles 1981, 10) and Article 6 of the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Trb), adopted on 25 October 1980 in The Hague. 1987, 139);

The Directorate for Control, Business and Legal Affairs of the Directorate-General for Prevention, Youth and Sanctions, Department of Legal and International Affairs, to be designated as the service under the Ministry responsible for carrying out the tasks of 'central authority' referred to in Article 2 of the European Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Custody Decisions in Luxembourg on 20 May 1980 and on the restoration of authority, about children (Trb. Articles 1981, 10) and Article 6 of the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Trb), adopted on 25 October 1980 in The Hague. 1987, 139) and with the treatment of requests in cases of international abduction of children not governed by a treaty.
