Decision of 26 February 2011 on the establishment of the progress committee on Sint Maarten

We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.

On the nomination of Our Minister of Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations of 11 February 2011, 2011-2000011174, CZW/WSG;

Having regard to the Articles 3 and 4 of the Cooperation Scheme to guarantee plan of approach land on Curaçao and Sint Maarten ;

Have found good and understand:


Article 1

  • 1 There is a progress commission of Sint Maarten.

  • 2 The Commission shall have a seat in Sint Maarten.

The following shall be appointed as members of the Committee:

  • Mr Gibson, appointed in accordance with the views of the Council of Ministers of Sint Maarten on the recommendation of our Minister-President of the country of Sint Maarten,

  • Mr N. Schoof, appointed in accordance with the views of the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands on the recommendation of our Minister-President of the Netherlands, and

  • -Mr Bandell, appointed in agreement with the Council of Ministers of Sint Maarten and with the support of the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands, also Chairman.

  • 1 The members shall be appointed for the period from the entry into force of this Decision until 10 October 2012.

  • 2 If the plans of approach for Sint Maarten have not yet been implemented on 10 October 2012, the term of appointment referred to in paragraph 1 shall be extended by two years.

This Decision shall enter into force as from the first day of the second calendar month following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette.

Our Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations is in charge of the implementation of this decree which will be placed with the accompanying note of notes in the Official Gazette and in the Afkonment sheet of Sint Maarten.
