On the nomination of Our Minister of Education, Arts and Sciences of 2 March 1949, no. 20186, Section Proposed Higher and Middle Secondary Education;
Whereas it is desirable to establish examinations for the purpose of obtaining a certificate of interpreter and to set up a regulation and programme for those examinations;
The Council of State heard (opinion of 24 May 1949, no. 21);
Having regard to the further report of our aforementioned Minister of 5 September 1949, no. 16841, Section Proposed Higher and Middle Secondary Education;
Have found good and understand:
Telkenjare is given the opportunity to take examinations in order to obtain a certificate of interpreter-translator. The examinations will be conducted in accordance with the following provisions.
Examinations shall be taken by the Commission in charge of taking examinations for an instrument of competence to provide secondary language teaching in foreign languages, in so far as each committee is responsible for taking a decision to reduce the number of cases to which the Commission is responsible. examinations in order to obtain the certificate of interpreter-translator in the language, for which she decreases the instrument examinations.
The requirements are:
a. proper knowledge of speech art, both of form leather and syntax;
b. the making of a written translation of an uneasy piece of prose, relating to social life in the broadest sense, from Dutch in the foreign language;
c. the making of a written translation of an uneasy piece of prose, relating to social life in the broadest sense, from the foreign language in Dutch;
d. The writing of up to three letters in the foreign language, relating to social life in the broadest sense;
e. giving a short oral or written summary in Dutch of a piece of prose in the foreign language as well as giving a short oral or written summary in the foreign language of a piece of prose in the Dutch;
f. knowledge of land and people in the Netherlands and in the country where the foreign language is the first language;
g. proficiency of interpreters between speakers in Dutch and speakers in the foreign language;
h. proficiency in speaking;
i. a good pronunciation.
1 They, who wish to submit to one of the examinations for the purpose of obtaining a certificate of interpreter-translator and holding the certificate for having passed candidaatsexamination at a university in the language, for which they are require the certificate of interpreter-translator, or from the instrument of competence to provide secondary education in the language, for which they require the certificate of interpreter-translator, shall be exempted from examination in the course of the examination; components, listed in Article 3 A and f .
2 The examination board may grant an exemption, in writing, from one or more parts of the examination, on the basis of possession of another diploma or certificate or other instrument other than those referred to in paragraph 1, or on the basis of possession of a certificate or certificate of formal qualifications or certificates of formal qualifications or certificates of formal qualifications or certificates of evidence. of a declaration as referred to in Article 31 of the Secondary Education Act ( Stb. 1986, 552) or under Article 35 of the Higher Vocational Education Act ( Stb. 1986, 289).
The period of validity of an exemption referred to in paragraph 2 shall be fixed by the examination board and may be extended by the examination board.
(4) If the examination commission grants the requested exemption referred to in paragraph 2, it shall send the applicant a proof of exemption. Such evidence shall indicate the date on which the exemption was granted, the examination component or the examination components to which the exemption relates, and also the period of validity.
1 For the examination of the examination, a sum of f 450 shall be payable, with an interim rate of f 360 for the examination starting in 1986.
2 If the full state examination is made in one calendar year, the amount referred to in paragraph 1 shall be payable.
3 If the State examination referred to in paragraph 1 is made in more than one calendar year, the examination shall be by calendar year f 50, plus an amount for each component to be given in the calendar year in question. Go to The amount for a part shall be determined by reducing the amount referred to in the first paragraph by f 50 and dividing by the number of parts.
4 Our Minister of Education and Science shall determine the number of parts as referred to in the third paragraph after consultation with the relevant State Committee.
5 No examination fee shall be payable for the purpose of taking a reexamination.
The examination board shall arrange for the examination and lay down the rules for the grant of the certificate requested.
The model of the certificates to be issued is established by Our Minister of Education, Arts and Sciences.
The certificate as an interpreter-translator, obtained in accordance with the provisions of the judgment of the Secretary General of the Department of Education, Science and Cultural Protection of 12 March 1942, no. 82 O.W.K., (included in the Dutch Official Gazette of 4 August 1942, no. 149), as amended by its decision of 18 February 1943, shall be treated in the same way as the certificates awarded on the basis of the provisions of this Decision.
This Decision shall enter into force with effect from 1 January 1950.
Our Minister of Education, Arts and Sciences is in charge of the implementation of this decision, hetwelk in State Sheet will be placed and copies of which will be sent to the Council of State and to the Court of Auditors.
