On the nomination of Our Minister of Transport and Water of 20 November 1970, no. 60.655 J, Directorate General of Shipping, also on behalf of our Minister of Justice;
Whereas the Decision of 4 November 1926, Stb. 369, as amended since it has been amended, needs to be adapted to the current situation;
Having regard to Article 349, last paragraph, of the Code of Commerce ;
The Council of State heard the opinion of 9 December 1970. 12);
In view of the further report of our Minister of Transport and Water State of 21 December 1970, no. 61 ,071 /J, Directorate General of Shipping, also on behalf of our Minister of Justice;
Have found good and understand:
For the purposes of this Decision, a sea-going vessel shall not be regarded as a seagoing fishing vessel or a coastal fishing vessel.
Only a properly executed book of solid paper may be used as a diary.
1 By Our Minister of Transport and Water State, it is established:
a. A model for a ship's diary for seagoing ships;
b. A model for a machine diary for seagoing ships which are propelled by mechanical force; and
c. A model for a diary for seagoing fishing and coastal fishing vessels.
2 In the diaries, deviations from the established model may be made, provided that the nature of the book does not change too much in the opinion of Our Minister for Transport and Water State.
The bookmark set out in the models may be supplemented by items other than those listed in the model.
Our decision of 4 November 1926 ( Stb. 369), as last amended by our Decision of 26 November 1969 ( Stb. 529), is hereby repealed.
This decision may be referred to as 'Decision of day books for vessels 1970'.
It will enter into effect on a time to be determined by Us.
Our Ministers of Transport and of the State and of Justice have been entrusted with the implementation of this Decision, which is in the State Sheet will be placed and copies of which will be sent to the Council of State.
