Law of 1 July 1992, amending the Law on Scientific Education and the Law on Higher Vocational Education, in connection with the increase in tuition fees for part-time students and the extraneous examination fee

We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.

All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:

In this regard, we considered that, in view of the limited public funds for education, it is necessary to request a higher contribution from the participants in education;

which is in connection with this amendment of the Law on Scientific Education ( Stb. 1986, 414) and the Law on Higher Vocational Education ( Stb. 1986, 289) is necessary;

In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:

  • 1 By way of derogation from Article 32 A , second paragraph, point B , of the Law on Scientific Education, the tuition fee is for part-time courses or training of the second stage:

    • (a) in respect of the 1992-93 year of study f 1475;

    • (b) for the 1993-94 academic year,

    • (c) for the period of study 1994-95 f 1625.

  • 2 By way of derogation from Article 32 A Fifth paragraph, the examination fee for extraneï shall be as follows:

    • (a) in respect of the 1992-93 academic year,

    • (b) for the 1993-94 academic year,

    • (c) for the period of study 1994-95 f 1240.

  • 1 By way of derogation from Article 37 (4), point 4 (b) B , of the Higher Vocational Education Act, tuition fees for part-time courses, part-time courses are higher than those of the second phase of the vocational training course:

    • (a) in respect of the 1992-93 year of study f 1475;

    • (b) for the 1993-94 academic year,

    • (c) for the period of study 1994-95 f 1625.

  • 2 By way of derogation from Article 42 (4), the examination fee for extraneï shall be as follows:

    • (a) in respect of the 1992-93 academic year,

    • (b) for the 1993-94 academic year,

    • (c) for the period of study 1994-95 f 1240.

This law shall enter into force as from 1 August 1992 as regards higher vocational education and from 1 September 1992 in the field of scientific education.

Burdens and orders that are in the State Sheet will be placed, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
