All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:
In this regard, we considered that it would be desirable to implement measures announced in the Higher Education and Research Plan 1996, including the amendment of the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Law on the Education and Training of the European Union. (i) study financing is necessary;
In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:
1 This Law shall enter into force from 1 September 1998, it being understood that the provisions set out in the second to ninth paragraphs shall enter into force with effect from the dates set out in those paragraphs.
2 For the purposes of the application of Articles VIIIb and VIIIc, only Article I parts P and Pa concerning Articles 7.7 and 7.7a of the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Research, back to 1 January 1998.
3 Article I part N under 2 shall enter into force from the day following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette, in which this Law is placed, and shall take effect until 1 September 1997.
4 Article I parts CC and EE shall enter into force from the day following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette in which this Act is placed.
5 Article I part T as far as it concerns Article 7.9f of the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Research; and Article III Part C in so far as it concerns Article 9 (1f) of the Study Finance Act, and Section J, they shall enter into force from 1 June 1998.
6 Article I, part FFFa, shall enter into force from the day following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette, in which this Law is placed, and shall return until 19 March 1997 as regards the public universities and until 11 July 1997 as regards the Open University.
7 Article Ia shall enter into force on a date to be determined by Royal Decree. The nomination for this Royal Decree shall be taken no earlier than after the review report referred to in Article VIIId shows that the dual training courses provided for in Article 7.7a of the Higher Education Act are in the scientific education and scientific research, provided a need and given the Second Chamber of the States-General to vote in favour of it.
8 Article VIIa shall enter into force from the day following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette, in which this Law is placed, and shall return to it until 1 August 1997.
9 The Articles VIII , VIIIb and VIIIc shall enter into force as from the day following the date of issue of the Official Gazette setting that law.
Burdens and orders, which it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials, who so concern, will keep their hands on the precise execution.
