Law of 24 December 1998 amending the Gaming Machines Act (ATMs)
We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.
All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:
In this regard, we have taken into consideration that it is desirable to Gambling law (i) in the light of developments in slot machines;
In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:
Article V of the Law of 13 November 1985, revising the Gaming Act (automatic teller machines) (Stb. 600) expires.
1 An authorisation to present slot machines, granted before the entry into force of this Law on the basis of Article 30c of the Gaming Act and in force on the day immediately preceding the day of entry into force of this Act shall remain valid until one year after the entry into force of this Act, except as long as the period of validity or earlier withdrawal of the licence expires.
2 An authorisation for the operation of slot machines, granted before the entry into force of this Law on the basis of Article 30h of the Gaming Act , shall remain valid until one year after the entry into force of this Act, except with the expiry of the period of validity or earlier revocation of the authorisation.
The articles of this Law shall enter into force on a date to be determined by royal decree, which may be determined differently for the various articles or parts of such articles.
Burdens and orders that it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
