Law of 24 May 2012 amending the Aliens Act 2000 related to national visas and some other subjects

We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.

All those who will see or hear these read, saluut! do know:

In this respect we have taken the view that it is desirable to Aliens Act 2000 to amend it in order to include rules relating to national visas and some other subjects;

In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:

  • 1 For the examination of applications for authorisation to stay for the provisional period or return visa submitted before the date of entry into force of the Article I, Section C , of this law, the law applicable shall continue to apply for that date.

  • 2 With regard to the possibility of objecting and filing a decision against a decision on an application as referred to in paragraph 1, the right to apply before the date of entry into force of the decision shall remain: Article I, Section C , from this law of application.

  • 3 To the examination of an application as referred to in Article 25 , submitted before the date of entry into force of Article I, Section C , of this law, the law as it applied before that date shall remain applicable.

  • 4 On the handling of an objection to a decision published before the date of entry into force of the Agreement, Article I, Section C, of this Act , given on an application as referred to in paragraph 3, the duty applicable shall remain as it applies for that date.

The articles of this Law shall enter into force on a date to be determined by royal decree, which may be determined differently for the various articles or parts of such articles.

Burdens and orders that it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
