Law of 1 May 1981, dealing with the termination of pregnancy

We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.

All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:

In this regard, we considered that, in view of the development of the views on the termination of pregnancy, it is desirable, in view of the legal protection of unborn human life and the right of the European Union to be responsible for the protection of the -wife to help with unwanted pregnancy, regulate it, and in connection with it Penal code and any other laws to be amended;

In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:

  • 1 A hospital or clinic shall be deemed to comply with the provisions of Article 2, if

    • 1 °. The management of the hospital or clinic has submitted an application for a permit within 30 days of the date of entry into force of Article 2, and

    • 2. as long as the application for authorization has not yet been decided, or, if the authorisation is granted, until the time at which the licence enters is not yet in place.

  • 2 If the clinic is a clinic, the first paragraph of this article shall not apply if, at the time of submission of the draft of this Law, the clinic has left the Second Chamber of the States-General unabated for less than one year.

  • 1 This law may be cited as 'Refraction of pregnancy'.

  • 2 It shall enter into force on a date to be determined by Our Member State, which may differ in respect of the various articles or parts thereof.

Burdens and orders, which are in the State Sheet All ministerial departments, authorities, colleges and civil servants, with whom this is concerned, will keep their hands on the precise implementation.
