Law of 16 July 2001 merging the communes of Castricum, Akersloot and Limmen
We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.
All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:
In this regard, we have taken the view that the municipalities of Castricum, Akersloot and Limmen should be added together.
In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:
From the date of reclassification the communes of Castricum, Akersloot and Limmen are removed.
From the date of reclassification, the new municipality of Castricum shall be established, consisting of the territory of the Communes of Castricum, Akersloot and Limmen to be removed, as indicated in the map annexed to this Act.
For the new municipality of Castricum, the municipality of Castricum to be removed shall be designated for the purposes of applying Article 36 of the General Rules Act reclassification , in connection with the application of the instructions and regulations referred to in that Article.
For the municipalities of Castricum, Akersloot and Limmen, the new municipality of Castricum is hereby designated for the purpose of applying the following provisions of the General Rules Reclassification Act :
a. Article 39, second paragraph , in connection with the levying and recovery of municipal taxes;
b. Article 41, third paragraph , in relation to participation in common schemes;
c. Article 45, second paragraph , in connection with the transition from the supply of drinking water, electricity and gas.
1 For the new municipality of Castricum, an interim council election as referred to in Article 52, second paragraph, part (a) of the General Rules of Reorder Law -
2 With the preparation of the by-election of the council, the municipality of Castricum to be removed shall be taxed.
3 If the date of reclassification falls within two years before the date on which regular elections are to be held, then these regular elections will not take place in the municipality set up by this law.
4 The term of office of the members of the Council of the new municipality of Castricum shall end in the situation referred to in paragraph 3 with the term of office of the members of the councils of the other municipalities following the first elections to the Council of the European Union. Municipal councils after the date of reclassification
Lawyers and prosecutors holding office in a municipality transferred to another district under this law shall be registered in the new arrondissement by the care of the registries concerned. Prosecutors are also registered to the court of the old arrondissement until five years after the date of re-classification. Article 61, second paragraph, of the AdvocateAct does not apply.
This Act shall enter into force from the day following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette in which it is placed.
Burdens and orders that it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
