In this regard, we have taken into consideration that it is desirable to Arms and Ammunition Law to review due to changed insights and new developments in weapons and ammunition, as well as related to the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Law of Police registries to be amended;
In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:
The Decree on Arms and Ammunition is hereby repealed.
1 Competent to grant recognition, a waiver, a consent, a permit, a leave and a European firearms pass, requested before the entry into force of this Act, is the administrative body empowered to do so in accordance with the law like that before the entry into force of this law.
2 A recognition, a waiver, a consent, a permit, a leave and a European firearms pass, granted prior to the entry into force of this Act, shall remain valid until the period of validity would have expired in accordance with the law as it applies. before the entry into force of this Act.
3 The period of validity of an approval, a waiver, a consent, a permit, a leave and a European gun pass, granted before the entry into force of this Act, may be extended in accordance with the law as applicable after the the entry into force of this Act
This Law shall enter into force on a date to be determined by Royal Decree, which may be adopted in a different way for the various articles or parts of such articles.
The text of the Arms and Ammunition Law will be in the State Sheet placed.
Burdens and orders that are in the State Sheet will be placed, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
