Act of 12 March 1998, establishing a fixed college of opinions on questions of international law (Law of the Commission of the Opinion on questions of international law)

In this regard, we have taken the view that it is desirable to set up a fixed college of opinion on questions of international law, and that it is necessary to do so in connection with Article 79 of the Constitution necessary to lay down legal provisions to that end;

In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:

There is a Commission of opinions on questions of international law.


Article 2

The task of the Commission is to advise the Government and the two Chambers of the States-General on questions of international law.


Article 3

This Law shall enter into force from 1 January 1998. If the Official Journal of the State in which this Law is placed is issued after 31 December 1997, it shall enter into force from the day following the date of issuance of the Official Gazette in which it is placed, and shall return to it until 1 January 1998.

This law is cited as: Law on the Commission's Opinion on questions of international law.

Burdens and orders that it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
