All those who will see or hear these read, saluut! do know:
Having considered that, in view of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 and Directive 2009 /13/EC of the Council of the European Union of 16 February 2009 on the implementation of the Agreement between the European Community Shipowners 'Association (ECSA) and the European Transport Workers' Federation (EFT) on the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 and amending Directive 1999 /63/EC (PbEG L 124), it is necessary to lay down rules for the improvement of the legal status of seafarers and to modernise the relevant provisions;
In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:
After the entry into force of Article I, Part YY , this law is based on:
a. the Decision of seagoing crew trade and sailing In so far as this was based on the Maritime crew law , on the Articles 16 , 18, third, fourth, fifth and sixth member , 19, 1st Member , 22, 1st Member , 25, 1st Member , 34, 1st Member , 36 , 44, 1st Member , 64 and 71, 1st and 4th Member, of the Seafarers ' Law ;
b. Decision of the maritime crew decision In so far as this was based on the Maritime crew law , on the Articles 16 , 17, first paragraph , 18 ,third, fourth, fifth and sixth members , 19, 1st Member , 22, 1st Member , 25, 1st Member , 34, 1st Member , 36 , 40 first Member , 44, 1st Member , 64 and 71, first paragraph, of the Seafarers ' Law ;
c. Certificate of maritime diplomas 1991 on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;
d. Sea shipping examination rules on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;
e. Seagoing Service Time Regulation on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;
f. Decision of maritime diplomas experimented in higher education on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;
g. Decision on special acquisition of diplomas in commercial terms on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;
h. Decision on special acquisition of a diploma as a ship engineer on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;
i. the Decision in particular acquisition of a diploma A as a ship engineer on the Articles 19, 1st paragraph , and 77 of the Seafarers ' Law ;

m. the Shipping rates In so far as it was based on the Maritime crew law , on Article 62, introductory wording and parts a to d, f, h, i and j of the Seafarers ' Law .
1 The provisions of and pursuant to Article 407 of the Code of Commerce and Article 470a of the Code of Criminal Law will remain after the date of entry into force of the Articles IX, Part G , and XI, part B , applicable in respect of fishing vessels.
2 The provisions on and under Article 407, first and third to seventh member, of the Code of Commerce in respect of the residence of the shipboard, as well as compipes and other food spaces, shall remain after the date of entry into force of this Directive. Article IX, Part G , applicable in respect of ships whose keel was laid or the construction was at a similar stage to that time.
The Decision of 14 November 1827, relative to the administration of the seamen and goods of seamen, who, when they travel to a merchant's place, die on the journey or go missing (Stb. 1827, (51) is hereby repealed.
This Law shall enter into force on a date to be determined by Royal Decree, which may be adopted in a different way for the various articles or parts of such articles.
Burdens and orders that it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
