We Beatrix, at the grace of God, Queen of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, etc. etc. etc.

All of them, who will see or hear these, saluut! do know:

In this regard, we considered that it is desirable to terminate the participation of the State of the Netherlands and of the public service broadcasters in the public limited company, Nederlandsche Broadcaster-Transmitter-Maatschappij, "NOZEMA",

whereas the structure of the public limited-liability company, the Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation, 'NOZEMA', is to be transformed into a public limited company as referred to in Article 3 (1) of the Treaty. Book 2 of the Civil Code ;

that it is therefore desirable to Radio Broadcasting Station-Law 1935 -to be withdrawn;

In this way, we, the Council of State, and with the mean consultations of the States-General, have been well-regarded and understood to be right and to be understood by the following:


Article I

The Radio Broadcasting Station-Law 1935 shall be withdrawn.

Article VI

Our Minister of Transport and Waterstate, acting in accordance with our Minister of Education, Culture and Science, after being declared by our Minister of Justice that he has not been informed of any objections, is on the day that this law is in (i) it has the right to act in favour of a notary to suffer from the following day the statutes of the public limited company Nederlandsche Broadcaster-Transmitter-Corporation, 'NOZEMA' and to be in conformity with brought with the provisions of Book 2 of the Civil Code In each case, the statutes shall state that:

  • (a) the Management Board shall be replaced by a senior management appointed by the General Meeting of Shareholders and dismissed without the right to apply to any other company body or from any other third party; and

  • (b) a Supervisory Board consisting of at least six members shall be appointed.


Article VII

This Law shall enter into force on a date to be determined by Royal Decree.

Burdens and orders that it will be placed in the Official Gazette, and that all ministries, authorities, colleges and officials who so concern will keep their hands on the precise execution.
