Pursuant to art. 7, 46, 47 and 48 of Law No. 10-XVI of 3 February 2009 on state supervision of public health (Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova, 2009, No. 67, art.183), as amended and supplemented, as well and to promote health and disease prevention, the Government DECIDES:
1. Approving the national health promotion program for the years 2016-2020 (attached).
2. It states that:
coordinating the implementation of the National Programme for Health Promotion for the years 2016-2020 will be provided by the National Coordination Council of the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases;
Financing actions in the mentioned program will be made from and within approved budgets annually in the national budget and from other sources, as required by law.
March. Ministries and other central administrative authorities:
will ensure, within the powers attributed to the realization of this decision and actions included in the Program;
Will report annually, until 15 February, the Ministry of Health's National Program execution of health promotion for the years 2016-2020.
4. Ministry of Health will summarize information and submit to the Government, March 15, the full report on the implementation of the decision in question.
May. It is recommended that local public administration authorities of level II:
to develop and approve, within three months of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova to this decision, territorial health promotion programs for the years 2016-2020 ;
Examine territorial annual implementing programs to promote health and to take measures to achieve the objectives set.
June. Broadcasting Coordinating Council will advise broadcasters under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Moldova coverage free social campaigns, disseminating information and education on the topic of public health and promoting healthy lifestyles carried out by state institutions and NGOs and endorsed necessarily by the Ministry health.
July. Control over the execution of this decision is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.
