The communal Council Gălești, Strășeni, by decision No. 5/1 from 4 July 2016, took note of the resignation of Mayor Theophilus Talbot in connection with impossibility of carrying out the duties of the Mayor on the grounds of illness.
On 14 July, the Secretary of the Parish Council 2016 Iserlia Basarabeasca district, has informed the Commission about the death of Mayor Dmitry Rusev.
At the same time, by decision No. 4677 of 26 April 2016, the Central Electoral Commission has set for November 13 local elections of mayors of the village of joy, Cahul district, in connection with the resignation of the Mayor, and the commune Gălășeni, Rîșcani district, in connection with his death. Considering that the Moldovan Parliament has established for the October 30 presidential elections, as well as enhancers of expenditure for the Organization and conduct of these elections and on the basis of the material presented, the Commission shall decide on the establishment of new local elections date simultaneously with the repeal of presidential decision, respectively No. 4677 of 26 April 2016.
Based on the material presented in the article. 18, 26 para. (1) (a). 139 n) and para. (1) (a). (b)), para. (21), para. (3) of the electoral code no. 1381-XIII of November 21, 1997, art. 28 para. (2) (a). a) and e) of law No 436-XVI dated December 28, 2006 on local public administration and art. 5 para. (4) (a). e) and (f)) of law No. 768-XIV of 2 February 2000 on the status of local elected officers, and by way of derogation from the provisions of point 1 of the Central Election Commission decision nr. 706 13 September 2011 "on the new local elections", with subsequent amendments, the Central Electoral Commission decides: 1. Take note of the primary mandates of the holiday in Iserlia village, Basarabeasca district, joy, Cahul, commune Gălășeni, Rîșcani district, and commune Gălești, Strășeni.
2. Shall be determined for 2016 October 30 local elections of mayors Iserlia village, Basarabeasca district, joy, Cahul, commune Gălășeni, Rîșcani district, and commune Gălești, Strășeni.
3. the Central Election Commission decision repeals the No. 4677 of 26 April 2016 "With respect to the determination of the date of local elections for mayors of the village of joy, Cahul, commune and Gălășeni, Rîșcani district".
4. this decision shall enter into force on august 31, 2016, will be published on the official website of the Central Election Commission and the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
