[Peninsular Malaysia — 3 September 1971]
WHEREAS on 8 April 1970 Synod Diocese West Malaysia was established in Malaysia in accordance with the powers conferred by the Archbishop of Canterbury, as the Metropolitan jurisdiction of Anglican Denominations in Peninsular Malaysia: and that Synod Diocese West Malaysia, is entitled to the benefits of movable and immovable property within Peninsular Malaysia for the time being vested in the Synod Secretary of the Diocese of Singapore established under Ordinance Synod Diocese Singapore 1958 [Ord. 67 1958] : and WHEREAS IT is expedient incorporated Synod Diocese West Malaysia and his successor: BE IT enacted by the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong with the advice and consent of the Dewan Negara and Dewan Rakyat in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Act (incorporation) Synod Diocese West Malaysia 1971.
Corporation, etc.
2. (1) the Synod Diocese West Malaysia and his successor shall be a body corporate and shall remain down-036b.fm Page 5 Tuesday, March 28, 2006 8:53 pm 6 laws of Malaysia ACT 36 for generations with the name "Synod Diocese West Malaysia" hereinafter called the Corporation, and shall be a body of Anglican Denomination bestow in Peninsular Malaysia.
(2) the Corporation may enter into contracts and can acquire, purchase, take, hold and enjoy any kind of movable and immovable property and may be memindahhakkan, transferring ownership, assign, surrender and return, mortgage, mortgage, mendemis, assign the other or dispose of or make any arrangements regarding, any movable or immovable property vested in the Corporation and can lend or borrow money upon such terms as it thinks fit by the Standing Committee of the Corporation , hereinafter referred to standing committees, and minutes of the Standing Committee shall be sufficient evidence of such conditions.
(3) the Corporation may sue and be sued about their wealth and otherwise in all courts of Justice and on all matters and legal.
Seal of the Corporation, etc.
3. (1) the Corporation shall have a common seal, and the seal may from time to time be broken, changed, altered and made anew as it deems fit by the Standing Committee.
(2) the seal of the Corporation shall not be affixed to any deed, document or instrument except by the authority of a resolution of the Standing Committee and in the presence of two members of the Permanent Committee, one of whom is the Diocese Bishop West Malaysia or Vicars-General appointed by the Bishop or Archbishop of the Province of the Anglican Church in South-east Asia during the occurrence of vacancies See West Malaysia or Chancellor , Treasurer, or Secretary of the Corporation.
(3) all deeds, documents and other instruments required to be sealed with the seal of the Corporation shall be sealed with the seal of the Corporation and shall also signed by two witnesses referred to in subsection (2).

(5) a certificate purporting to be signed by the Diocese Bishop West Malaysia or, if he is not available, by Vicars-General appointed by the Bishop or Archbishop of the Province of the Anglican Church in South-east Asia during the occurrence of vacancies See West Malaysia was enough evidence about people from time to time a member of the Standing Committee and the person becomes Chancellor , The Treasurer and the Secretary of the Corporation.
Transfer of title to certain property 4. (1) the Secretary of the Diocese of Singapore incorporated Synod Ordinance Synod Diocese Singapore 1958 at which vested all movable and immovable property located in Peninsular Malaysia which is owned by the Corporation immediately before the commencement of this Act are hereby stripped of its rights on all movable and immovable property and all property, rights and interest thereon.
(2) all movable and immovable property referred to in subsection (1) and all har ta, rights and kepent ingan thereon are hereby vested in the Corporation on the respective property, rights and interests to which it held and the Corporation is full authority to handle such property as provided in subsection 2 (2).
(3) the land administrator or Registrar concerned shall replace the Title holder's name registered in the name of the Corporation in respect of any interest registered on the immovable property in Peninsular Malaysia, formerly vested in the Synod Secretary of the Diocese of Singapore.
Repeal 5. Diocese of Singapore Synod Ordinance 1958 is hereby repealed.
