The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of registration of births, deaths and marriages in the registration of births, deaths and marriages Act (Latvian journal, 2012, nr. 197.) the following amendments: 1. in article 6: Supplement to the fourth sentence as follows: "If the marriage is terminated with the death of one spouse, or call for the dead, the civil registry authority or the Ministry of Justice shall issue a certificate of registration of the marriage in accordance with the entry in the register of marriage."; replace the words "the ninth part of the cognitive" with the word "investigation". 2. Turn off the article 12 of part two of the second sentence. 3. Express article 16 the second paragraph as follows: "(2) a vital statistics office shall notify the person of the nationality of the deceased is the accredited diplomatic and consular representation in Latvia for foreigners of the fact of death registration. If the country concerned diplomatic and consular representation is not in Latvia for foreigners (with the exception of persons recognised as stateless persons in the Republic of Latvia) the fact of the death registration is notified to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "
4. Supplement article 35 the third part as follows: "(3) a vital statistics office shall, on the basis of a personal application and the vital statistics office, birth register entry shall be made if the birth register entry in which to perform addition, registered in a foreign country." 5. Add to article 36 to the fifth subparagraph by the following: "(5) of the vital statistics office of Riga, on the basis of the adoptive petition and the vital statistics office, birth register entry shall be made if the adoptee birth fact registered foreign country." 6. turn off article 37 second paragraph, the words "family courts". 7. Turn off the fourth paragraph of article 39, the words "or statement".
8. Replace the second paragraph of article 42, the words "inquiries" with the word "investigation".
9. in article 44: off in the third paragraph, the words "or family courts of decisions"; make the fifth subparagraph second sentence the following wording: "unduly repeatedly dialed updated or of births, deaths and marriages registry entry or the first composed of births, deaths and marriages registry entry, if it is incomplete and if the renewed or renegotiated up of births, deaths and marriages registry entry cancellation would lead a person to adverse legal consequences, annulled on the basis of the decision of the Ministry of Justice." 10. Replace article 45 in the fourth paragraph, the words "Riga City vital statistics office" with the words "civil registry Department." 11. Add to article 47, second subparagraph, after the words "civil registry officer" with the words "Ministry of Justice civil registry department director or Department of civil registry archive department head".
