Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No 820 in Riga, 28 July 2009 (pr. Nr. 50) 15 amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 20 august 2002, the Regulation No 372 "labour protection requirements for the use by workers of personal protective equipment" Issued under the employment protection act, article 25 (3) to make the Cabinet of 20 august 2002, the Regulation No 372 "labour protection requirements for the use by workers of personal protective equipment" (Latvian journal, 2002, 119 no; 2006, 37 no) the following amendments: 1. Replace the text, the words "chemical products" (fold) with the word "mixture" (folds).
2. paragraph 1 shall be expressed by the following: "1. the provisions in the labour protection requirements for the use by workers of personal protective equipment, devices, equipment, systems and products, including clothing and footwear, which workers wear or otherwise use the work, to protect their safety and health at work from one or more risk factors (hereinafter referred to as the means of protection)."
3. Add to paragraph 7, second sentence, after the word "the" with the words "understandable and accessible".
4. Add to paragraph 8, after the word "employed" by the words "or economic operators".
5. Express chapter II the following: "(II). the environmental risk assessment and the choice of measures of protection 14. employers in assessing the risk under the legislation on the internal monitoring of the working environment in order to determine the risk factors for the elimination or reduction of use protection (annex 2).
15. the employer is not entitled to use this provision in annex 2 form if protection products for protection against these rules referred to in point 14 risk factors has determined the employer working in the environmental risk assessment or labour protection plan, or other document.
16. the protection of this provision, paragraph 14, of the working environment risk factors for the elimination or reduction of, the employer shall: 16.1. determine whether the work environment risk factors cannot be avoided by other means and measures;
16.2. take into account the rules referred to in annex 3 of the works that use the appropriate remedies;
16.3. determine the remedies necessary characteristics to ensure effective protection against the risks of the working environment, taking into account the protection of risks;
16.4. compares the available means of protection and the provisions of the characteristics referred to in paragraph 16.3. characteristics;
16.5. assess whether the selected remedy matches the rule in paragraph 4 and 10.
17. the employer shall reassess the rule 16.5. the protection referred to in compliance and review health products evaluation, if changing a health product or any remedies.
18. the employer shall provide employees with adequate means of protection even if the job or health product not specified in this provision in annex 1 and 3, but remedies are needed for workers ' safety and health. "
6. Delete the 19 and 20.
7. Annex 1:7.1. Add to paragraph 3.3, after the word "goggles" with the word "(sunglasses)";
7.2. to replace in paragraph 5.1.4., the word "radiation" with the word "radiation";
7.3. to replace the words "paragraph 10.11 or accessories" with the words "and" Accessories ".
8. Annex 3: Supplement to annex 8.1 1.22. subparagraph by the following: "1.22. work, working height.";
8.2. Express 9.2. subparagraph by the following: "9.2. various Assembly, repair and maintenance work, including work on moving platforms (suspension, lift the basket);".
