The purpose of the activity is Riga suburban railway passenger transport system modernization and integration of the city public transport system, passenger transport quality and efficiency in Riga and outside Riga, the introduction of new technologies, the upgrading of rolling stock (including restoring the electric powered and diesel powered rolling stock – by purchasing new trains) and infrastructure, thus unloading the Riga Street networks and bridges, while reducing the environmental pollution caused by road transport and the risk of environmental contamination that may occur as a result of the accident. 3. the activity exercised limited project application selection. 4. the overall activity of the cohesion fund available funding is $100 079 289. National funding by project. 5. National funding of not less than 15 percent of the project's eligible costs. Funding from the Cohesion Fund shall not exceed 85 percent of the project's total eligible costs. 6. the maximum project funding under the Cohesion Fund from the project total eligible costs are $100 079 289. Project total unneatbalstām, eligible and non-eligible costs 10. Project activities have assisted rail passengers and crew for infrastructure and rolling stock modernization (new diesel trains and electric powered purchase). 11. the eligible costs of the project are the following: 11.1. new diesel powered and electric powered rolling stock acquisition costs;
11.2. with the new diesel powered and electric powered launch related equipment and installation costs;
11.3. the costs associated with national public rail infra structure development;
11.4. the costs associated with compliance with environmental protection requirements;
11.5. the costs relating to fire safety and other safety requirements;
11.6. publicity measures, in so far as it provides for the structure of the European Union funds and the cohesion fund management regulatory acts;
7.3. the value added tax, where the applicant cannot recover it according to the regulations of the tax policy. 12. non-eligible costs of the project are the following: 12.1. costs that exceed the approved project submission, the proposed amount of the eligible cost;
12.2. costs not justified by appropriate justification documentation;
12.3. other project indivisible costs. 13. project expenditure may include only those rules 11 and 12 above. Project expenditure does not include administrative costs. 14. the implementation of the project of non-eligible costs shall be borne by the beneficiaries of their funds. IV. Project application selection to tender, project submission, and submission of the project application form 15. the responsible authority shall invite public corporation, in accordance with public transport services regulatory laws and provides public transport services in regional intercity rail routes, meaning to submit these terms according to the project application. 16.
