General questions 1. determines the order in which the postal operator are paid remuneration for domestic mail loss, shortage, damage or their contents (hereinafter referred to as the reward).
2. 3. If the application is received, the postal operator shall carry out inspection to check the circumstances invoked.
4. Postal operator not later than one month after receipt of the application, shall take a decision on the grant of compensation or refusal to provide benefits, giving the reasons for the refusal. The decision taken by the postal operator shall notify the applicant in writing.
5. If the application is based, the postal operator is financially responsible for the postal law in the case referred to in article 44.
6. Postal operator in the decision on the award of compensation under these provisions specify the remuneration to be paid.

11. For lost uninsured postal mail merchant paid remuneration. Consideration of: 11.1. basic amount-30 lats;
11.2. additional amount, the amount shall be determined depending on the postal weight – three Lats per kilogram;
11.3. mail service tariff charged amount.
12. If not insured postal packages containing damage or shortage and uninsured mail package: 12.1 is a content list, postal operators are paid remuneration corresponding to the damaged or missing items actual value in accordance with the list provided that remuneration be paid does not exceed this provision the amount referred to in paragraph 11;
12.2. no content list or a list item is not mentioned, the postal operator in indemnity cost – this provision in paragraph 11 of part of that amount in proportion to the postal packages for weight reduction.
