No 40 1) rules for soldiers of the extended first-aid training program, the order in which the enlarged training first aid and arrangements abroad learn courses recognised in Latvia, as well as extended first aid equipment for medical material and medication storage, use, accounting and disposal order Issued in accordance with the military service law 14.1 the second paragraph of article i. General questions 1. determines the : 1.1. soldiers extended first aid training programme (hereinafter referred to as the training program);
1.2. the arrangements for the training of the extended first aid;
1.3. procedures abroad learn courses recognised in the Republic of Latvia;
1.4. the extended first aid equipment for medical material and medication storage, use, and destruction.
2. Extended first aid is assistance by soldiers, their duties, give life to the victim in critical condition soldiers using these rules, approved equipment, medical materials and medicines.
II. Training programmes and procedures provide the soldier training extended first aid course in 3 program consists of two parts: 3.1 training courses in the individual soldier training course (individual course);

Certificate is valid for five years;
4.5. not less frequently than once every two years, the national armed forces organized by the soldiers in the individual practical skills obtained in the course of maintenance training;
4.6. prior to participation in international operations soldiers who use individual Kit, if necessary according to the individual training course description, in addition to taking into account the specificities of the international operations and tasks;
4.7. individual course instructors are certified in first aid instructors who meet the following requirements: 4.7.1. certified medical person (doctor, physician's Assistant, nurse);
4.7.2. have received rescue course or equivalent the amount and content of training course abroad, which is recognized in the Republic of Latvia the provisions laid down in chapter III of the order;
4.8. at least 30 percent of the individual course instructors are certified medical person (doctor, physician's Assistant, nurse) who conduct or supervise the practice of medical materials and medicines.
5. in the implementation of the rescue course is subject to the following conditions: 5.1 rescue course implemented according to this provision, contained in annex 3 of the description;
5.2. the soldier who is trained in individual courses or the equivalent of the amount and content of training course abroad, which is recognized in the Republic of Latvia the provisions laid down in chapter III of the order are entitled to acquire the Savior's course;
5.3. at the end of the course the rescue a soldier receives a certificate for the Savior's course;
5.4. a certificate for the Savior's course is specified, the soldier is finished the extended first-aid rescue course, passed off and their duties, shall be entitled to use the soldier-Savior's equipment, medical materials and medicines (hereinafter referred to as the rescuer's Kit) (annex 4). The licence is valid for an unlimited period of time, if a soldier every two years, this provision in point 5.5 in order acquire the soldier-Savior's refresher training or equivalent the amount and content of training course abroad, which is recognized in the Republic of Latvia the provisions laid down in chapter III of the order;
5.5. 5.9. the training course instructors are certified in first aid instructors who meet the following requirements: 5.9.1. is certified medical person (doctor, physician's Assistant, nurse);
5.9.2. have received rescue course or equivalent the amount and content of training course abroad, which is recognized in the Republic of Latvia the provisions laid down in chapter III of the order;
5.10. at least 50 percent of the course instructors are certified medical person (doctor, physician's Assistant, nurse) who conduct or supervise the practice of medical materials and medicines.
6. individual courses, lifeguard courses and soldier-Savior's refresher training on implementing the national armed forces units conducted training in first aid.

7. National armed forces provides training programmes for teachers ' professional qualifications.
8. If necessary, the national armed forces training program can be attached to ensure their medical professional social organizations and university professionals who implement education programs in medicine.
III. Overseas training courses to learn the procedure for the recognition of the Republic of Latvia 9. Soldier who mastered the equivalent of the amount and content of training course abroad may apply for its recognition in the Republic of Latvia.

12. 15. 18.11. the rescue package in the destruction of the drugs, except for narcotic drugs, national armed forces units (the Latvian contingent) Commander organized in cooperation with the armed forces of other countries.
