Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 262 in Riga in 2011 on April 5 (Mon. No 22 4) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 22 December 2009. Regulations No. 1494 "moped, motor vehicles, their trailers and component conformity assessment provisions" Issued under the Road Traffic Act article 15.1 fourth draw Cabinet 22 December 2009. Regulations No. 1494 "moped, motor vehicles, their trailers and component conformity assessment rules" (Latvian journal, 2009, 206. no; 2010, 174. no) the following amendments: 1. Deletion of informative references to the directives of the European Union, paragraph 179.
2. Add to the informative reference to European Union directives, with 206 and 207 of this.: "206) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009/139/EC on statutory markings for two-or three-wheel motor vehicles (codified version) (text with EEA relevance);
207) Commission March 9, 2010-2010/19/EU directive amending Council Directive 91/226/EEC and European Parliament and Council Directive 2007/46/EC to the spray-suppression systems of certain categories of motor vehicles and their trailers device adapted to technical progress (text with EEA relevance) ".
3. Put 2 point 7 of the annex by the following: "7. Type of vehicle – combinations of vehicles where the tractor vehicle is shared the following characteristics: 7.1 the manufacturer;
7.2. the manufacturer's defined type;
7.3. category;
7.4. construction and design essential aspects: 7.4.1. chassis/floor (obvious and fundamental differences);
7.4.2. number of axles;
7.4.3. engine (internal combustion/electric/hybrid). "
4. Replace annex 6, part I certificate of conformity 2. side figure and the words "7.1. Complete the maximum width of the vehicle (only for complete vehicles): … … … … … … … ... mm" with a number and the words "7.2. completed the maximum vehicle width (only for complete vehicles): … … … … …. … … ... mm".
5. Put the annex 7 section follows 8.1.6.6.: "8.1.6.6. fuel type (except in the case where the vehicle manufacturer installed in addition to the fuel supply system of gas appliances installed and if it is used in parallel to pamatdegviel) and feed cylinder (such as injector, carburetor);".
6. Express 8.3.7.6. of annex 7 section as follows: "8.3.7.6. type of fuel (except in the case where the vehicle manufacturer installed in addition to the fuel supply system of gas appliances installed and if it is used in parallel to pamatdegviel) and the feed cylinder (such as injector, carburetor);".
7. Deletion of annex 7, paragraph 11, table 60.
8. To make the new version of annex 11 (annex).
9. Deletion of annex 14, part I, table 60, 63.

Regulations No 1494 technical regulations list 1. Compliance with this technical regulations laid down in the annex are understood all the relevant directives or UN certain technical regulations and administrative requirements, as a result, the vehicle manufacturer has received the type of vehicle or component type-approval certificate issued by a Member State of the European Union or party to the agreement of 1958 's certification authority.
2. In some cases, the manufacturer or its representative on the basis of a reasoned request (such as a special or specific types of vehicles) by granting type approval or individual vehicle's conformity assessment, on proof of the appropriate directives or UN rule requirements: 2.1 testing laboratory checks issued by the Protocol;
2.2. the CSDD posted (delegated) personal checks issued by the Protocol.
3. In all cases where the device is installed (equipment) that the installation is voluntary, their relevance must be assessed, i.e. they must be certified, marked (if applicable) and installed in accordance with the relevant Provisions of the directive or with the UN requirements.

1. New L3, L3, L4 or L4 in a category of vehicle types are valid until 01.01.2006 if their engine emission limit values comply with Directive 97/24/EC, Chapter 5 of annex 2 in the table in section 2.2.1.1.5. subparagraph (A) in the table row of the specified values. New L3, L3, L4 or L4 category vehicles shall be in force until the 01.01.2008, if their engine emission limit values comply with Directive 97/24/EC, Chapter 5 of annex 2 in the table in section 2.2.1.1.5. subparagraph (A) in the table row of the specified values. Starting with 01.01.2008., requirements only apply to used vehicles, whose first registration made to 01.01.2008.2. Vehicles type the original type-approval has been granted before 17 June 1999 shall comply with the standards specified in table no. 1, 4, 5, 9, 10, 12, 13, 18, 19, 21, 24 and 25, with the exception of the amending Directive requirements specified in the fourth column.
