Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No 423 Riga, 31 May 2011 (pr. No 34 30) Civil aviation accident and incident investigation order issued in accordance with the law "on the air" 70. the first paragraph of article i. General questions 1. determines the civil aviation accidents, serious incidents and incident investigation procedures.
2. the rules apply to civil aircraft law "on air", as well as to those of the Republic of Latvia civil aviation aircraft, used for customs and the National Guard.
3. Civil aviation accidents, serious incidents and investigate incidents in accordance with the 7 December 1944 Convention on international civil aviation (hereinafter referred to as the Convention) Annex 13 "aviation accident incident investigations" (hereinafter referred to as annex 13) and of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010, Regulation No 996/2010 about accident and incident investigation and prevention of civil aviation and repealing Directive 94/56/EC (hereinafter Regulation No 996/2010).
4. the term "investigator", "investigations", "safety investigation authority" and a "serious incident" in these regulations apply pursuant to Regulation No 996/2010 article 2. The term "origin", "projektētājvalst" and "Advisor" in these terms used in the Convention's annex 13.

III. Reporting on civil aviation accidents and serious incidents 8. IV. Safety investigations in the territory of the Republic of Latvia 12. 12.4. to engage in an investigation of security professionals, to request and receive from legal and physical persons security investigation required information and documents;

12.6. to require foreign authorised representatives and their counsel to pass all the information in their possession that is relevant to the safety investigation;

12.9. to take the necessary measures to guarantee compliance with the requirements of the safety investigation;
12.10. to cooperate with the process if the promoters launched criminal proceedings in criminal proceedings, and to provide the necessary information in accordance with Regulation No 996/2010 13. 14. 17. 18. 21.
