Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 950 in 2011 December 13 (pr. No 74 19) plant protection products Regulations Issued under the plant protection act, article 5, paragraph 5 and article 9 second part i. General questions 1. determines: 1.1., plant protection products and storage requirements;
1.2. the professional users of plant protection products and plant protection products the operator obligations and rights;
1.3. the evaluation procedure for the preparation of the possible risks of plant protection products in the spray from the air;
1.4. the procedure for the authorisation of plant protection products in the spray from the air;
1.5. special measures for the water environment and protection of drinking water.
2. Compliance with the provisions of the supervision and control of the national plant protection service (hereinafter service).

9. 11. 20. 22. 33. based on the submissions and other service information, prepare assessment of plant protection products, the possible impact on the environment and on human and animal health and the risk analysis: 33.1. no longer than two weeks, if the plant protection product is not authorized for use in Latvia;
33.2. within one week, if the plant protection product is authorised for use in Latvia.
34. the service shall take a decision on the permit if: 34.1. There is no other suitable alternatives or spraying from the air compared with the use of plant protection products on the ground are more advantages to reduce effects on human health and the environment, has made 34.2. risk analysis and proof that the positive effect of such plant protection products will be greater than the potential risk to the environment and human and animal health;

35. the service shall include the following: 21.8. plant protection allowed for the use of the name;
35.2. use allowed area, showing the exact location and the area;
